a sad day
I'll get to the pictures soon, I'm still getting settled in Baton Rouge again, but I did want to note some sad news in today's Post:
Marion Barry tested positive for cocaine use.
It is possible Barry will go to jail for this violation of his probation agreement, greatly diminishing the likelihood he will return to the mayor's office for a fifth term.

First of all, this is yesterday's news (which unfortunately took until today to make it to print). Maybe the Internets take a little longer to travel to you now that you're in LA.
Second, don't you mean "Marion Barry tested positive for cocaine use, AGAIN, just over a week after he was robbed at gunpoint by teenagers, on the heels of his misdemeanor tax evasion charges"?
Mmhmm. I figured that's what you meant.

Now REALLY! Do you honestly think he won't be reelected. He could get caught on tape smoking crack with a prostitute and still get elected. Oh right, he did.
